Playing with soft pastels and exploring charcoal sticks. Such a difference in smooth paper and a small canvas. One day I will challenge myself with a BIG canvas… the difference in this doodle is that my mind wanted to do it in a particular way, and my creative intuition said, ‘You my dear, may leave the room (edited version!)’
I love blending colours with soft pastels, there is something comforting in using big movements when drawing, such a change from the fine detail of graphite pencil portraits. And eyes, how they captivate me! It is wonderful to have the space to play like this. And how this actually improves my other drawings.
I think I am an accidental artist…..
