Doodles

I found these graphite pencils in a local store in Feilding, the darkest one is a 50-50 combination of graphite and charcoal, perfect of passive highlighting. Hmmm, am I ready for a big charcoal drawing? I do love the freedom of the big page doodles and a stick of charcoal. And I look forward to using charcoal pencils.

If someone had told me two years ago that I would be drawing realistic portraits, I would have laughed! Am I an accidental artist? I just make it up as I go along. I am fascinated by the progress of my own drawings and hope that they inspire you too. Everyone can draw!

Drawing your dreams makes them real. Since March 6th 2023, I have drawn over 70 portraits, and framed at least half of them. Whilst drawing each one of them, I have felt the presence of this person guiding me.
