Kate is my eldest daughter, and Rosie my youngest daughter and Umbra is her dear furry friend. I have held them both in my heart as visuals in my mind for the different stages of Molly’s life, the main character in ‘The Attic – A World Between Worlds’. What an amazing experience to draw them both. I love seeing the evolution of my own art and the reflection of my own personal growth. Life is an amazing experience. And ‘The Attic’ has many elements of my own life woven into it.
Editing is a slow process, but I am enjoying the assistance of ProWritingAid and immersing myself in this amazing story I have written. Using a process I learnt from Julia Cameron’s ‘Morning Pages’ which has developed into my own style of automatic writing… where I meet with the characters in meditation and ask what is next to write. I am fascinated in reading their story, as most of it I had not been aware of as I was writing.
