Not so daily doodles!

Housesitting out of town has created a new routine. With stock to strip feed, and large lawns and gardens to care for, the days are busy, in a relaxed way. There are hives on this property, not anything we need to do, unless they swarm! The weather has been sunny and warm which has stirred up the bees. And now we have met the assistance bee keeper! Amazing creatures, I am inspired to draw one…

Every housesit has a challenge and they are all so different. This job we have encountered wasps, bees, and everything that could makes us sneeze! But such a peaceful property. Surrounded by vineyards and mountains and the Wairau River (Marlborough District, Sth Island, New Zealand) is only a short walk along the stop-bank. Picton and Waikawa Bay are a 20 drive. We enjoyed lunch at Le Cafe Picton on the waterfront.
