At each housesit, one of us will draw a portrait of the animals we are looking after. This housesit is a bit different. Along with 7 heifers, three cats, there are bee hives and a lavender farm and lots of grass to mow. Strip-feeding the cows yesterday, they were almost lost in the height of the lush grass! No wonder they can only have a portion of the paddock at a time.
John has to mow the grass with a ride-on mower, wearing a beekeeper’s suit! The subject of the drawing for this property I chose was a bee! Found the perfect frame at one of the local op shops – 4Paws.
