Daily Cafe Doodles. Rolleston.
Each morning over coffee at a local cafe, I edit the manuscript for my novel and John draws. I love to see how his ability to draw in detail, with one type of pencil and without measurements (as we do for larger pieces of art) in two hours is improving daily.

Onyx is one of the cats we are looking after at this housesit. Unassuming, gentle, and at times smoochy, he clearly lets us know what he wants. The leaf is a practice run for a larger portrait John is working on.

Daily Cafe Doodles.
Moving house today, completing one housesit and starting another just around the corner for three weeks. We will be caring for two beautiful cats. How cute is this? I love this doodle of John’s. He is also working on a portrait of an Orangutan.

Morning Cafe Doodles.
The challenge in these is what can be drawn without measurements and within 1-2 hours. Preparing to move housesits on Wednesday. I enjoy cleaning and tidying the house and gardens in preparation for the owners return. It’s a nice way to say thank you for sharing their home with us.
