This is a scene from a beautiful story of a young girl who was faced with selling the family’s last asset before foreclosure of their farm. John Wayne was present at the horse sales that day, and was her guardian angel. He bought the horse and gave it back to her, then unknown by the family until many years later, he had anonymously paid out their mortgage.
It was a heartfelt moment for me, reminding me that anything is possible, if we can trust in the unknown…
