The relationship between water, paint and texture of the paper still remains a mystery to me. But I love the surprise that I always get when a piece is finished. These samples were exploring this relationship and creating backgrounds. The paper was not such good quality for painting, being a drawing journal, but it is handy when we are travelling to have an A5 size pad to play with.
